Welcome to this month's newsletter where we have brought you some insights into things we like to do in London. We hope you try at least one, if you haven't already.

For those of you who are new to us, we send out this newsletter once a month with organisationally focused hints and tips. We provide lifestyle management and virtual assistant services to clients to help them get their to-do lists done, whether this be in their personal or business lives.

London in Summer

London in the Summer - love it or hate it? It's probably the same all cities over. Tourists come in and locals leave. But if you are here, why not make the most of it? Here are some of our favourite summer London things:

1. Throughout the summer from mid July to early September, enjoy eight weeks of stunning professional music at the BBC Proms with standing on-the-day tickets available for all concerts for £5. The last night is always popular and hard to get tickets for, but if you want to take part, enjoy the music in one of five parks around the UK or on big screens.
2. Rivers and canals are a great way to see a different part of London. Find lots of information here. You could also visit the canal museum to find out more about the history of the waterways.
3. The Notting Hill Carnival is a vibrant festival which all Londoners should go to at least once. You could combine a walk along the canals with a visit to the carnival.

4. Many tourists love the Royal Family - if you haven't been to Buckingham Palace then go this year and learn something about the Monarchy.
5. You've heard about it, you may have seen them on the streets, but have you given it a go? If not, sign up to try out Boris's bikes here and explore the City in style!

You Should Know About - The Sounding Board

The Sounding Board has been developed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs benefit from the shared skills and wisdom of a selective group of peers to take their businesses forward and to develop their leadership and management skills. Facilitated by Simon Crowe the concept is that of having an Executive Board to meet with regularly to bounce new ideas around with, to gain a fresh perspective and to share know-how. The added value is the expertise of a facilitator to conduct the meetings and ensure that maximum benefit is gained and there is a genuine growth and development for everyone. For companies with more than five employees there may be funding available.

We have a number of clients who are based abroad leaving either empty properties, or tenanted properties without a local contact. Either way, they need to have someone trustworthy to look after any issues as they arise.
